Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Munasaba collects, how we use and protect it, and your rights over it.

What we collect

Account: name, e-mail, phone number, password (hashed), language and country.
Bookings: what you book, dates, event locations, messages between you and providers, contracts, and the reviews and photos you upload.
Payments: amounts and their status. Card details are handled directly by Stripe, Tap Payments or PayPal and never reach us.
Location: only when you use the map or “near me”, with your permission. We don't keep a history of where you go.
Usage: screens and steps such as search, add to cart and checkout, so we can improve the app, plus a device token to send notifications.
Providers: business and licence details and the account earnings are paid to.

How we use it

To run bookings, payments and refunds.
To send notifications and messages about your bookings.
To provide support and resolve disputes.
To prevent fraud and keep users safe.
To improve the app with aggregated statistics.
To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your data, and we only send marketing if you agree to it.

Who we share it with

The provider you book: your name, how to reach you and the event details they need to do the job.
Services we rely on: payments (Stripe, Tap Payments, PayPal), hosting and storage, notifications (Firebase), e-mail and WhatsApp messages, and crash reporting (Sentry, without names or e-mail addresses).
Authorities: when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open. Booking and payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires. Usage events are deleted after 180 days, and backups after 14 days.

Your rights

You can see and correct your data in the app, delete your account from Account → Delete account, or ask us for a copy of your data or object to how it's used by contacting us. We handle data under the personal data protection law of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the laws of the other GCC countries we operate in.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, limited staff access, and a log of every sensitive action taken by admins.

Children

The platform isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We will tell you in the app before any important change to this policy.
